Swayambara (ସ୍ୱୟଂବର)

ଜୀବନ ଗୋଟିଏ ନାଟକ । ଆଉ ଏଠି ସମସ୍ତେ ଜଣେ ଜଣେ କଳାକାର । ପରଦା ବିଶାଳ । ଦର୍ଶକ ଅଗଣିତ । ବିଚାରକ ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ । ନିଜ ଭାଗର ଅଭିନୟ ସାରି ସମସ୍ତେ ଫେରିଯାଆନ୍ତି ଦିନେ ନା ଦିନେ । ଏକ ଘଡ଼ିସନ୍ଧି ମୁହୂର୍ତ୍ତରେ ଏଇ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ନାଟକରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରେ ଏକ ଉପନାଟିକା, ଯେଉଁଠି ଅଭିନୟର ପାତ୍ର ହୁଅନ୍ତି ଗାଳ୍ପିକ, ନାଟ୍ୟକାର, କବି, ଚାଷୀ, ଶିକ୍ଷକ,  ଓକିଲ, ଡାକ୍ତର, ବ୍ୟବସାୟୀ କିମ୍ବା ଏମିତି ଅନେକ । ଏଠି ଅଭିନୟର ଅଭିସନ୍ଧି ଥାଏ ଜୀବନ ସାଥୀର
ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ । ପାରଦର୍ଶିତାର ପରାକାଷ୍ଠା ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନ କରି କିଏ ଖୋଜେ କ’ଣ ? ପାଏ କ’ଣ ? ଆଉ ହଜାଏ କ’ଣ ? କିଛି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ଅଭିଜ୍ଞତା ଆଉ ଅଭିମତକୁ ନେଇ ମୋର ଏଇ ପ୍ରୟାସ :  ଏଇ ଭିନ୍ନ ଧରଣର ନାଟକ “ସ୍ୱୟଂବର” । (ପ୍ରମୋଦ କୁମାର ଜେନା)

Life is a Play.
And in it, everyone is an actor. The stage is vast. The audience—countless. The critics—innumerable. Each person plays their part and exits the stage—sooner or later. At a certain turning point, a subplot emerges within this grand play— where the actors are storytellers, playwrights, poets, farmers, teachers, lawyers, doctors, businessmen, and many more. At the heart of this drama lies the quest for a life partner. Who seeks what? Who finds what? And who loses what? With the highest degree of transparency and introspection, this is a search filled with emotion and uncertainty.

Based on a few personal experiences and reflections, this is my attempt at a different kind of play— “Swayamvara.”
