ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେ ସ୍ୱନାମଧନ୍ୟ ଗୀତିକାର ସ୍ୱର୍ଗତ ଶିବବ୍ରତ ଦାସଙ୍କ ଗୀତ ସଙ୍କଳନର ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ସଂସ୍କରଣ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିବାର ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ ପାଇଲି, ମୁଁ ଭାବବିହ୍ୱଳ ହୋଇଗଲି l ଯିଏ ଓଡିଶାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଇଛି, ଯିଏ ଗୀତି କବିତାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଇଛି, ସିଏ ଶିବବ୍ରତ ଦାସଙ୍କୁ ନଜାଣିବ କେମିତି ? ଏମିତି ଏକ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସୁଯୋଗ ଭାଗ୍ୟରେ ଥିଲେ ମିଳେ l ଆଉ ଆମେ ଲାଗିପଡିଲୁ ସଙ୍କଳନଟିର ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ସଂସ୍କରଣର ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ପାଇଁ l ଯଦିଓ କିଛି ଗୀତ ଅନ୍ୟ ସଙ୍କଳନରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଇସାରିଛି, ତେବେ ବି ତାର ଲୋକପ୍ରିୟତା ପାଇଁ ଆଉଥରେ ଏ ସଙ୍କଳନରେ ସ୍ଥାନ ଦିଆଯାଇଛି l ଏଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ମୋର ସ୍ୱାମୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରମୋଦ କୁମାର ଜେନାଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେବି ତାଙ୍କର ଅକୁଣ୍ଠ ସମର୍ଥନ ଓ ସହଯୋଗ ନିମନ୍ତେ l ଆଉ ଆଶା କରିବି ସେ ସବୁବେଳେ ଆମକୁ ଏମିତି ଦିଗଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଇଚାଲନ୍ତୁ l

ପାଠକମାନଙ୍କ ଅବଗତି ନିମନ୍ତେ

                ମିଳିଥିବା ପାଣ୍ଡୁଲିପିଟି ବହୁତ ପୁରୁଣା ଓ ଏହାର କିଛି ଅଂଶ କୀଟମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ନଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଯାଇଥିବାରୁ, ଗୀତିକାରଙ୍କର ଅବର୍ତ୍ତମାନରେ ସଂଶୋଧନ କରିବା ସମୀଚିନ ମନେ ନ କରାଯିବାରୁ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନ ସବୁ *** (ତାରକା) ଦ୍ୱାରା ଚିହ୍ନଟ କରି ଶୂନ୍ୟ ରଖାଯାଇଛି ।

Editor’s Note

When I received the proposal to prepare the second edition of the song collection by the late, renowned lyricist Shivabrata Das, I was overwhelmed with emotion.
Anyone who loves Odisha, and anyone who appreciates lyrical poetry, would undoubtedly know Shivabrata Das.
Such a golden opportunity comes only by fortune, and we wholeheartedly set about preparing this second edition of the collection.

Although some of these songs have already been published in other collections, they have been included again here due to their immense popularity.

For this effort, I express my sincere thanks to my husband, Shri Pramod Kumar Jena, for his unwavering support and cooperation.
I hope he continues to guide us in this way always.
