Jeevan Nauka (ଜୀବନ ନୌକା)

ପଦେ ଅଧେ

ଏହି ଜୀବନ ଗୋଟିଏ ନୌକା । ଏହି ନୌକାକୁ ସଂସାର ସାଗରରେ ଚଳେଇବା ବଡ଼ କଷ୍ଟକର । ନୌକାଟିକୁ ପାଣିରେ ସ୍ଥିର ରଖି ବାହି ନେବା ପାଇଁ ନାଉରୀର ଯେମିତି ଭୂମିକା ରହିଛି, ସେମିତି ଭୂମିକା ରହିଛି ଯାତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କର । ନାଉରୀ ପବନର ଦିଗକୁ ଅନୁସରଣ କରି ନାଆର ମଙ୍ଗ ମୋଡ଼େ। ଦରକାର ହେଲେ ପାଲ ଟାଣେ । ଦରକାର ହେଲେ କାତ ମାରେ । ପାଣିର ଗଭୀରତା ଓ ପବନର ଦିଗ ଦେଖି ସେ ଡଙ୍ଗାକୁ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଥାଏ । ସେହିପରି ନୌକାରେ ସବାର ହୋଇଥିବା ଯାତ୍ରୀମାନେ ନିଜକୁ ସ୍ଥିର ଭାବରେ ରଖି ନାଉରିଆକୁ ସହଯୋଗ କରିବା ଫଳରେ ଡଙ୍ଗାର ସନ୍ତୁଳନ ରକ୍ଷା ହୋଇଥାଏ । ସଦାବେଳେ ନୌକା ସିଧା ବାହିବା ସମ୍ଭବ ନୁହେଁ । ବେଳେବେଳେ ମଙ୍ଗ ମୋଡ଼ିବାକୁ ପଡ଼େ ।

ଏମିତି ଏକ ପଟ୍ଟଭୂମି ଉପରେ ଆଧାରିତ ମୋ ନାଟକ ‘ଜୀବନ ନୌକା’ । ବାସ୍ତବିକ ଜୀବନରେ ବେଳେବେଳେ ଅବସ୍ଥା ଦେଖି ମାନବିକତା ଆଗରେ ନୈତିକତାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ବଳି ଦେବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିଥାଏ ।

This life is like a boat. Sailing this boat across the ocean of the world is a difficult task. Just as a boatman plays a crucial role in keeping the boat steady and moving in water, so too do the passengers play an important part. The boatman adjusts the sail based on the direction of the wind. If needed, he pulls the sail tight. If required, he steers with skill. Observing the depth of the water and the direction of the wind, he carefully controls the boat.
In the same way, if the passengers aboard remain steady and cooperate with the boatman, the balance of the boat is maintained.  It is not always possible for the boat to sail in a straight path. Sometimes it must change its course. On such a background is based my play "Jeevan Nouka" (The Boat of Life). In real life too, there are times when faced with certain circumstances humanity must take precedence over morality.
