ଜୀବନ ଗୋଟିଏ ନାଟକ । ଆଉ ଏଠି ସମସ୍ତେ ଜଣେ ଜଣେ କଳାକାର । ପରଦା ବିଶାଳ । ଦର୍ଶକ ଅଗଣିତ । ବିଚାରକ ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ । ନିଜ ଭାଗର ଅଭିନୟ ସାରି ସମସ୍ତେ ଫେରିଯାଆନ୍ତି ଦିନେ ନା ଦିନେ । ଏଠି କିଏ ସମୟର ଚକ୍ରରେ ପଡ଼ି ଦୋଷୀ ହୁଏ ତ କିଏ ପରିସ୍ଥିତିର ଚାପରେ ପଡ଼ି ଦୋଷୀ ସାବ୍ୟସ୍ତ ହୁଏ l କିଏ ଜୀବନକୁ କୋଉ ବାଟରେ ନେଇ ପହଞ୍ଚିଯାଏ ପୁଣି ଅନ୍ୟ ଏକ ଗଳିରେ l ଅନ୍ତିମ ଯାତ୍ରା କୋଉଠି କିଏ ଜାଣେନା l କିନ୍ତୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଘଟଣାର ନାଟ୍ୟକାର ଜଗତର ନାଥ କାଳିଆ ସାଆନ୍ତ ଘଟଣାଚକ୍ରକୁ ଭିନ୍ନ ମୋଡ଼ ଦେଇ ମୋଡ଼ି ଦିଅନ୍ତି ଜୀବନର ମଙ୍ଗ l ଦୋଷୀ ଦଣ୍ଡ ପାଏ l ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ବଞ୍ଚିବାର ରାହା ପାଏ l ଆଉ ସେଇ ବଡ଼ଦାଣ୍ଡର ଡାକରାରେ ସବୁ ଦୁଃଖର ଅନ୍ତ ହୁଏ l ଏମିତି କିଛି ଘଟଣାବଳୀର ନାଟ୍ୟ ରୂପାନ୍ତର, ମୋର ଏହି ନାଟକ, ଡାକରା ଆସିଲା ବଡ଼ଦାଣ୍ଡରୁ l ଆଉ ଏହାର ମୂଲ୍ୟାଙ୍କନ କରିବେ ମୋର ଅଗଣିତ ପାଠକ ବନ୍ଧୁ l ଜୟ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ l

Life is a drama. And here, everyone is an actor. The stage is vast. The audience is countless. The critics are innumerable. After performing their part, each one departs—sooner or later. Some are trapped by the cycle of time and appear guilty, while others fall victim to the weight of circumstances and are misunderstood as guilty. Some take life down one path, only to end up in a completely different alley. Who knows where the final journey leads? Yet, the playwright of all events Jagatara Nath Kalia, the Dark Lord of the universe twists the wheel of fate and gives life a new, auspicious direction. The guilty are punished. The innocent find a way to survive.  And with the trumpet call from Bada Danda (the Grand Avenue of Puri), all suffering comes to an end. This play, “ଡାକରା ଆସିଲା ବଡ଼ଦାଣ୍ଡରୁ”, is a dramatized version of such real-life events. And its true evaluation lies in the hands of my countless dear readers.
