ବାଇଶି ପାହାଚ...

ମୋର ପ୍ରଥମ ଗଳ୍ପ ସଙ୍କଳନ ଅଠରନଳା ବିରଞ୍ଚିନାରାୟଣ-ମଣିଦେବୀ ସ୍ମୃତି ସମ୍ମାନ ପାଇଥିଲା l ଏହି ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଗଳ୍ପ ସଙ୍କଳନ ବାଇଶି ପାହାଚ ରଙ୍ଗନାଥ-ବାଇକୋଳି ସ୍ମୃତି ସମ୍ମାନ ପାଇଁ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବିବେଚିତ ହୋଇଛି l ତେବେ ଅଠରନଳା ସହ ଯେମିତି ଗଳ୍ପ ସଙ୍କଳନର ସାମଞ୍ଜସ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ, ସେହିପରି ବାଇଶି ପାହାଚ ସହ ବି ଏହି ଗଳ୍ପ ସଙ୍କଳନର କିଛି ସାମଞ୍ଜସ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ l କେବଳ ବଡ଼ଠାକୁରଙ୍କ ଠାରୁ ନାମ ସବୁ ଧାର କରି ଆଣିଛି l ତେଣିକି ପାଠକମାନଙ୍କର ଯଦି ମନକୁ ଛୁଏଁ, ତେବେ ଶ୍ରମ ସାର୍ଥକ ହେବ ବୋଲି ଆଶା କରୁଛି l

A short story collection awarded the Ranganath-Baikoli Memorial Award (2019) by Brahmapur Sahitya Parishad (Beladhwani).

My first story collection, Atharanala, received the Biranchi Narayan–Mani Devi Memorial Award.
This second collection, Baisi Pahacha, has been considered worthy of the Ranganath–Baikoli Memorial Award.

However, just as Atharanala shares no thematic harmony with this collection, Baisi Pahacha too bears no direct connection with the current stories—except for borrowing names from the great Lord Jagannath.

If the stories resonate with readers, I shall consider my effort meaningful.
