ଛୁଆଟିଏ.... କଣ ଜାଣେ ସେ ଦୁନିଆ ବିଷୟରେ ? ନିଜ ଦୁନିଆରେ ସେ ବେଶ୍ ଖୁସି ଥାଏ । ତା ବାର୍ବି ଡଲ୍, ତାର କାଡ଼ବୋରିଜ୍ ଚକୋଲେଟ୍, ତାର ମମ୍ମି, ତାର ପାପା... ଏ ସବୁ ବାଦେ ବି ଯେଉଁଠୁ ସ୍ନେହ ପାଏ, ସେ ଆଡ଼କୁ ଢଳିଯାଏ ତାର କୋମଳ ମନଟି । କିନ୍ତୁ, ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେଥିରେ କିଛି ବ୍ୟତିକ୍ରମ ଆସେ... ସେମିତି ଏକ ଛୋଟ ଝିଅର ମାନସିକତାକୁ ନେଇ ଆଗେଇଛି ମୋର ଏହି ନାଟକ ବ୍ୟାଚଲର୍ । ତେବେ ପାଠକ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ବିଚାରକ । ସେହି ପାଠକମାନଙ୍କର ମତାମତ ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ...

A child... what does she really know about the world?
She is quite content in her own little universe—her Barbie doll, her cardboard chocolates, her mommy, her daddy… and anyone else from whom she receives love. Her tender heart gently leans toward that affection.

But when something disturbs that delicate balance...
It is such a shift in a little girl’s mind that forms the crux of my radio play, “Bachelor.”

Ultimately, the reader (or listener) is the best judge.
